You must have a need for intermittent skilled nursing or therapy services, such as wound care, IV therapy, disease management, recent surgery or fall requiring therapy. You must also be homebound while receiving home health services. Medicare Part B covers 100% of home health services. We accept private pay, private insurance and Medicare Advantage plans, although you may have a co-pay. Your visit schedule will vary based on your individual need. We do have an on call nurse available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. We offer skilled nursing by RN’s and LVN’s, home health aides, physical therapy and occupational therapy. While under home health services, we provide to you: wound care supplies, catheter supplies and ostomy supplies. We do not provide medications, durable medical equipment, gloves, diapers, etc. Typically, you will see a different nurse and home health aide. We cover 7 counties: Runnels, Concho, Coke, Tom Green, Coleman, Taylor, and Nolan counties. |
Hospice is frequently referred to as palliative or comfort care. When a client has a terminal diagnosis and chooses to not seek curative care, hospice is a difficult choice. Medicare and Medicaid cover 100% of hospice services. We accept private pay, private insurance plans. A terminal diagnosis is required for hospice qualification. Common hospice diagnoses are Cancer of any sort, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, COPD, Congestive Heart Failure, End Stage Kidney failure, End Stage Liver failure. A common misconception many families have is that somenone must be “on my death bed” before hospice is warranted. Hospice can be extremely beneficial months before a patient is in his or her final stages of life. For more information, please call our office and speak to an RN regarding the benefits of hospice. Hospice consists of an Interdisciplinary Team which consists of the nursing staff, home health aide staff, chaplain, social worker, Medical directors, pharmacist, and volunteers. While we do not stay with a patient 24 hours per day, a nurse is on call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Please call our office if you would like a private duty caregiver list we have compiled. Any arrangement made will be between the family and the caregiver. All medications that are related to comfort/palliative care and the terminal diagnosis are covered by hospice. Yes.
